Freedom Schools committee

Help design what learning can be.

Freedom Schools is in development. This committee will shape its curriculum, decide who it serves first, and build the partnerships that make it real.

The work

Built by the people it serves.

We want educators, parents, organizers, historians, and young adults at the table. The committee will decide age groups, locations, curriculum, and how we launch.

Nothing about the program is fixed yet. That is exactly why your experience matters now.

  • Curriculum and learning design
  • Youth and family outreach
  • Partnerships and learning sites
  • Educator and volunteer recruitment
  • Fundraising and grants
  • Evaluation and community feedback

What to expect

Start small. Build it right.

A few hours a month

Online meetings, with gatherings in the DMV as the program takes shape.

Educators and beyond

Classroom experience helps. So does knowing your community.

Safety first

Roles working directly with young people include a background check.
